2 Melia dubia seedlings planted in Nannilam along with a champaka

Had visited State Forest Research Institute on Saturday, 21 June, 2008 along with Sheela. Were shown around by Jain Allauddin, Deputy Conservator of Forests. Took some Melia dubia seedlings and walking bamboo planting material.

add kadukkai (1/2 k) and manjal thool (1 k)

boil once slowly with 25 litres; filter; save filtrate each time
boil again with 25 litres
macerate and boil twice with 25 litres each

The 100 litres can be sprayed directly. Cool for 12 to 24 hours
Add 2 litres panchakavyam or 5 litres thengapalmoru
+ 1/2 kg Pseudomonas

200 litres/acre to be sprayed

Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza VAM

30 kg exfoliated vermiculite; spread 1 kg vam inocculum; 10 kg vermiculite; spread river sand on top; sprinkle water 1 foot between rows and 5 inches between plants; plant corn starter culture is called glomus fasciculatum; cut corn at silk stage; sow uzhundu with rhizobium, trichoderma viridi; sprinkle with Ammonium Sulphate 1% solution; at flowering stage cut and mix into soil; shade dry and use.

5 tonnes FYM +  500 kg vermicompost +  25 Kg Rock phosphate + 25 Kg Bonemeal + 12 kg Potassium-rich feldspar +  2.5 kg kadalpasi + 10 kg fishmeal + 1/2 lt azospirillum 5 kg VAM + Symbion P (50ml in 1 lt water, 50 gm Vellam, 1/2 lt cowdung slurry) + 12.5 kg ricehusk ash + Symbion K (50ml in 1 lt water, 50 gm Vellam, 1/2 lt cowdung slurry
